Evidence for better decisions
Qualitative research

Deep contextual insight through respectful interviews, focus groups and case-based inquiry.

GRC conducts qualitative research that helps clients understand experiences, perceptions, institutional processes, implementation realities and the reasons behind observed results. We design and facilitate KIIs, FGDs, case studies and participatory discussions with care, respect and analytical discipline.

Qualitative Research, KII and FGD Facilitation service by GRC
Service overview

How GRC supports this assignment area.

Qualitative research is especially valuable when programmes need to understand why results differ across groups, how communities experience services, what barriers affect participation, and which contextual factors shape programme performance. GRC designs qualitative work to answer these explanatory questions.

Our team prepares topic guides, sampling plans, facilitation protocols, note-taking formats, consent procedures and analysis frameworks. We take care to create safe spaces for participants, avoid leading questions and protect confidentiality.

Analysis focuses on credible themes, illustrative evidence, differences between groups, deviant cases, and practical implications. Quotes are used selectively to support findings, not to replace analysis.

Our approach

A structured process from assignment design to use.

Each assignment is tailored, but the same discipline is applied: clarity of purpose, sound methods, careful field systems, transparent analysis and practical outputs.

01

Define inquiry questions

We translate broad learning questions into practical qualitative topics and probes.

02

Select participants ethically

We develop participant criteria that reflect the purpose of the study while protecting privacy, inclusion and voluntary participation.

03

Prepare strong guides

We design semi-structured guides that are open enough for depth and structured enough for comparison.

04

Facilitate respectfully

We use skilled facilitation, language-sensitive approaches, consent procedures and careful note-taking or transcription.

05

Analyse with transparency

We code, compare and interpret themes while documenting limitations and using quotes to support—not substitute—findings.
