Training and Capacity Building service by GRC
Service overview

How GRC supports this assignment area.

Capacity building is most useful when it goes beyond one-off presentations. GRC begins by understanding participants’ roles, existing capacity, organisational expectations and the practical tasks they need to perform after training.

We design workshops, curricula, facilitator guides, exercises, templates and follow-up activities that help participants apply learning. Training can cover monitoring and evaluation, survey design, KoboToolbox, qualitative research, data analysis, report writing, strategic planning, organisational systems and leadership topics.

Where appropriate, GRC combines training with coaching, tool development, peer review and post-training support so that new skills are translated into improved practice.

Our approach

A structured process from assignment design to use.

Each assignment is tailored, but the same discipline is applied: clarity of purpose, sound methods, careful field systems, transparent analysis and practical outputs.

01

Assess capacity needs

We identify participant roles, expected competencies, current gaps and organisational priorities.

02

Design practical content

We prepare sessions, exercises, templates and examples linked to real tasks and sector context.

03

Facilitate active learning

We use discussion, group work, demonstrations, case examples, practice tasks and reflection rather than lecture-only delivery.

04

Support application

We help participants use tools, revise work products and connect learning to organisational systems.

05

Document learning and next steps

We provide training reports, participant feedback analysis and practical recommendations for follow-up.
